The Senior Proposal Manager will be able to understand the needs of our potential client and will be able to express solutions clearly through proposals, presentations and other deliverables. The Senior Proposal Manager is responsible for the effective project management of the bid process from start to finish, including the engagement of subject matter experts, scheduling reviews of drafts and ensuring an on-time, high quality response. The Senior Proposal Manager will be expected to manage a high volume of strategic, complex opportunities in the business pipeline. They will also be expected to partner and mentor other team members through stretch opportunities and new solution proposals. Duties and
Responsibilities:
Function as project manager and writer on high complexity, strategic account and global proposals. Analyze RFP requirements and collaborate with business development lead to understand and develop sales strategy and messaging. Develop and incorporate win theme and write RFI/RFP/proposal copy. Act as an advisor to Business Development, Client Services and Solution Design on messaging, story methodology, and comparable, duplicable deliverables. Control entire proposal schedule and take action as appropriate to ensure deliverable milestones are met. Oversee production process from start to finish, working within strict time constraints. Write superior content, managing to specific deadlines. Customize boilerplate or write new content to meet proposal requirements ensuring that Cielo's brand and key messages are consistently applied in proposals. Work with Solution Design and Operations to understand new solutions and develop new, compelling messaging. Work with Business Development to project manage and support the creation of presentations as part of a proactive or reactive (RFX) process that enables a unique Cielo sales experience. Guide team discussions and consensus around sales strategy and messaging. Research, maintain and continuously improve content database, in collaboration with marketing, to ensure quality and accuracy of data and messaging. Develop innovative approaches and deliverables to differentiate Cielo's proposals from the competition and make a winning first impression. Research and develop job aids/tools and training to support the onboarding of new sales executives, service enhancements and new product launches (multiple formats not limited to:
documents, presentations, videos, etc.). Develop, and continuously improve, other sales tools, including; scripts, email templates and sales presentations to support the entire client engagement process. Measure and analyze proposal metrics, assess win/loss data, solicit feedback from prospects and Business Development team to continuously enhance Cielo's sales process and messaging. Requirements:
Education Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Management, Business or a related field is required. Experience Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in proposal management and sales support. Must have a minimum of 3 years supporting RPO or HR outsourcing. Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to influence and align stakeholders while driving for results. Ability to partner with and mentor fellow members of the team through stretch assignments and/or new solutions. Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy. Collaborate effectively with remote team members via phone, Skype, email, etc. High degree of creativity to find new and innovative ways to express ideas, bring the Cielo brand to life and differentiate the company and its solutions. Customer-service orientation. Orientation to detail and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
