Position Description The Strategic Partnerships Program Directorate has an opening for an Administrative Assistant to work in the Technology Transfer Office. In this role, you will support the Technology Transfer Office's activities such as license database management, invoicing, royalty accounting and license compliance monitoring. Position Requirements Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing day to day licensing and administrative support for Technology Transfer (TT) office including:
Manage the licensing database including maintaining, documenting and enhancing it Document and analyze commercialization-related data and prepare reports, including reports to DOE Track and follow up on requirements in licensing, option, commercialization and Interinstitutional agreements, including invoicing for payments, insurance certificates, and reporting obligations Authenticate monthly financial activity reports from BSA Accounting that include income and legal invoices Calculate and document the year-end royalty net distribution calculations for lab share, department share, partner share, and inventor share Act as the point of contact for Internal Audits which includes providing all Licensing documentation as requested and help with resolution of issues identified Assist BSA Accounting during their audits from outside BNL Identify and resolve data management problems Document and retire all closed commercialization related agreements. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
At least (8) eight years of experience in substantive and relevant administrative work. A Bachelor's degree in a business field with relative coursework may offset qualifying experience on a basis of 2:
1 (expereince:
college) years. Skills and abilities must include:
Time management and multi-tasking; organization and planning; verbal and written communication; information gathering and monitoring; problem analysis and problem-solving; judgment and decision-making ability, initiative, and confidentiality. Must have experience working with a relational database management system Must have experience reviewing and analyzing financial data and preparing and presenting financial reports using Excel and other databases Proficiency with Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel Superior relationship management skills Demonstrated advanced communication (oral and written), interpersonal, relationship management, and presentation skills Cultural sensibility, with the proven ability to work efficiently and effectively in a multicultural environment Applies independent judgment that demonstrates the ability to prioritize and effectively deal with deadlines Must be self-motivated, resourceful and organized, taking ownership of all assigned work
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Administrative & OfficeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
